'vexing wound' came along not too far after 'an elusive dream'. It was another experiment in different sounds. ... I had myself in a rather depressing stasis for a couple of weeks which helped a lot with this set of tracks.

Again, wanting to add in a new sound or element... I went with what I felt would accompany a lamenting feel -- so the cello, albeit a synth cello, but a cello nonetheless, felt like a good choice.

The album opens with 'unstitching the vein', set at a brooding pace; nothing fancy. The second track, 'to drain her blood' seethes a little, then bleeds away to the third; 'a slow lamenting pain', which catches the main feel of the album. That mellows down to '(i) destroyed everything', another spoken word fused piece. ... It all comes down to the closer, 'in a maw of ruin', which is a nice track. I enjoy the pads and the way the piano distorts out at the end. It has a lovely ambiance to it.

Overall I think I captured what I wanted to with this set of tracks.
