With 'disappearing paradigms' I wanted to model some tracks around a creepy, darker atmosphere. Leave the inklings of temper behind and just go to a murkier place. I also wanted to do a little more vocal samples on this album; which I think the first, third and fifth track bring to a dim light.

One of my favorite tracks is 'destruct'. It stands out from the other tracks due to its... well. It's harshness. Sort of like... getting too caught up in the mood of the previous tracks and going a little mad. A shift from the shadows.

My all-time favorite from this set though has to be 'phase out'. It continues the shift away from the opening tracks, and gives rhythm to the staggering pace of 'destruct'. I love the drum beat, it's sort of lifting; grooving in a sense. ... The spoken word at the end was a one-shot take. I was reading a piece I had written, awkwardly. Not really planning to use it for anything -- then it just ended up working for the track. All in all, a good closing piece!
