At the end of December I moved from Oregon to Florida. I hadn't been able to take a whole lot with me, so I was without a computer for a few months. (Painstaking!) ... I eventually got a hold of a netbook, which let me begin working on this batch of tracks.

I got the skeletons of a few of these tracks completed at first on a plane ride back home to visit family as my father had some medical problems. So, once home, I got to work on the album a little more as I had access to my main desktop.

After 'subtle temper', 'disappearing paradigms' and 'recollect / retrace' I wanted to pull back a bit from the harsh sounds and do something a little softer. It only took a little thought to spur the feel of the album... a combination of sleeplessness and plane rides.

I was pretty happy with the outcome of the album. I think it's a good reflection of some of the tracks I did prior to the '29th parallel' and a bit of 'opaque & adrift'.
