This was the first album I did of this nature. I had made a few tracks about a year or so before this album came to be that were in the same vein... something I could just put on and sleep to. But I didn't really want to sleep to this one, so it was a little 'heavier' if that word works to describe it. (The prior tracks were mellow, no drums, no outlandish sounds; just simple looping piano and ambient sounds.)

I want to make some music that I could put on and have playing in the background that I could do things to; read, write, etc. And that was pretty much the basis of how xerou hour got started.
